my htc 8s is frozen

my htc 8s is frozen on the lock screen and has shown no changes its been like it for a hour. can any body help??

Press down the Volume Down + Power buttons for 10-15 seconds to soft reset. If you still have problems you can try a hard reset by going to settings>about>reset.
