Re using Dual Sims - One Canadian and one American?

[Windows Central Question]

I recently purchased the Blu HD Windows Phone and am debating on whether or not to keep it. I am in Canada and only use prepaid minutes. Not interested in getting a phone plan. I purchased a sim card and minutes at our Canadian 7-1-1 store which work great.............My question is: When I go to the U.S., can I then just buy another sim card and minutes for when I use my phone in the States?
