i have failed to assign a special ring tone from my sd card help me and direct me how to do it

You have to copy(move) the ringtone to the ringtone directory on the internal memory. Ringtones have to be on internal memory.

It's a "safety/stability" issue. If your ringtone is on the SD card what would happen if you got your SD card out? Your phone get's a problem because he wants to ring but can not ring. So to prevent this the ringtone has to be on internal memory.
