I Plan to buy new mobile Lumia

I Plan to buy new mobile Lumia 830 - 1020- 929(Icon) , which one get W10 update . If lumia 1020 get W10 update na , how its battery power , or its better to go 830 , but i need some good camera quality mobile. Both 1020 & 830 same price in india. Let me know , which one is better .

All Lumias should get W10, as far as we know. No one knows about the battery power with W10, however the 830 is more future-proof (logically, because its newer). Please remove your email, it is not good practice to post an email address in a public forum.

I wld go for the 1020 cos its just a special phone and justifies its price better than 830. You also get 2gb ram and a faster processor at the cost battery life and screen size(but not quality).

All lumias from 520-1520 get W10 so u don't need to worry about that.

Btw 1020 is now available for Rs21k in flipkart on a special offer which makes it 5k cheaper than 830.

Consider: "Both 1020 & 830 same price in india." The 1020 was a high end, high cost device when it launched. The price is falling as the hardware ages. The 830 is relatively new, but debuted at a lower price than 1020. 1020 support is coming less and less in each update now. Just check the 1020 forums and see what users are saying.

Of the three you listed RM-929 is the most future proof and will get the best camera updates. Compare other Windows Phones. Only 3 can shoot DNG for lossless editing. 1020/930 or Icon/1520. Yes 1020 has more raw megapixels, but will not benefit from camera advances in Denim.

All Windows Phone 8 capable Lumia devices will receive Windows 10 Mobile according to Microsoft. But which will take the most full advantage? The newer ones, of course, and the more high end models.

You did not mention 1520. It surpasses 929 (Icon) in that it has Glance screen and also SD card support for storing all those large photo files you will be creating. You did mention battery life. 1520 has superior battery run time.
