My lumia 730 is hanging and does not respond till restart

You generally have three options to consider.

1 - Soft reset - hold volume down and power button together until the phone vibrates. The phone will restart. No data is lost.

Before doing the next two you need to backup your data. Do at your own risk and understand not everything will be backed up on your phone. Some games do not allow backup of game data.

2 - Hard reset - Settings - About - Reset phone. Erases everything on the phone.

3 - Use the Software Recovery Tool - Requires a PC, internet connection and USB cable. Download from here - FAQ - How can I recover/reset/restore my phone software? - Microsoft - USA

This erases everything on the phone and installs a fresh firmware.
