Windows Central Question

I want to get Preview for Developers but am not sure if it will jack up my phone. Has it jacked up yours? Also, how do I fix it if my phone does get messed up?

There's always a risk, so be careful, but so far only very few users have had major issues :)

Edit: Uninstalling the app and hard resetting or uninstalling and using the Lumia Recovery Tool will downgrade the phone to it's original state

I have a 920, not had any problems. The releases are very stable. More stable than I imagine the Windows Phone 10 beta will be. The dev previews are very different.

But, I offer no guarantee, and there is always a risk with anything like this.

*only if the DP version is above the normal version. If they're the same, its virtually the same as a hard reset.

If you're not sure or worried don't install it.
If you do it anyway and have problems there would only be one place to lay the blame.

Read this,

Then this:

PfD is meant for early updates. It only backfires when some OEMs customize their devices so that it becomes heavily reliant on firmware e.g Samsung devices (which already had software issues before 8.1)

LOLz... I'm pretty sure Guytronic is thoroughly familiar with the pages you linked.

The advice he gives which you quoted is pretty solid advice. Read the OP statement again:

I want to get Preview for Developers but am not sure if it will jack up my phone. Has it jacked up yours? Also, how do I fix it if my phone does get messed up?

What about this makes you believe the OP is skilled and competent enough to advise them to just go ahead? I read it more as they are not sure and need to do more research to fully understand what they are getting into and how the process works at the individual user level. I fully support Guytronic's advice.

"If you're not sure or worried about (it) don't install it.
If you do it anyway and have problems there would only be one place to lay the blame."
