How to 'filter' the phone directory to exclude Facebook-only contacts.
Hoping someone can provide help on a way to make sure the Phone directory filters out, or excludes, Facebook contacts.
THE ISSUE:
Go to the phone's Start page and press the phone tile. That will take you to a screen with three circle icons at the bottom: 1) a dialpad 2) a directory and 3) a magnifying glass. Press the directory icon. There, you'll see all contacts that have phone numbers. That might, unfortunately, include contacts that are on your Facebook friends - but not your Outlook friends - which is a bummer since it clutters up the directory with people you never call (sorry Facebook friends).
It's strange that these people are included -- when they've been 'filtered out' of the people hub. Here's what I mean. Go to Start and then click on the "People" tile. Click the "..." at the bottom of the screen and then choose Settings and then "filter contact list." Outlook is checked ... but Facebook is unchecked.
THE QUESTIONS:
1. Why do Facebook-only contacts appear in the Phone directory -- even if Facebook is unchecked in the Filter Contacts screen?
2. Is there a way to filter the Phone directory -- to exclude Facebook contacts -- as you can in the People hub?
It's not a biggie, I know. But if someone would know how to do this, it would improve an already great experience on this wonderful platform.
Thanks!
