Can I change carrier info/location on Windows Phone?

I just purchased an unlocked 1020 that was on O2 in Great Britain (I'm in the US). I wanted the 64gb version that never did come out here. I am an ATT customer and really liked using the Softcard Payment system for using the phone to make NFC payments. Unfortunately, the Softcard software will not work, because it isn't a North American phone, not is it an ATT phone. Is there any way to switch the carrier info to ATT? Any help would be appreciated.

It's not just a difference in internal storage capacity... There is a difference in radio between your variant and the ATT variant.

Because the radio firmware is different, you can not cross flash the AT&T ROM to your model without borking it.
