Why isn'tmy email syncing from Gmail properly?

Email Sync from Gmail

I currently own Lumia 520 and planning to buy Lumia 730 but wonders for issue I am facing with Lumia 520. Gmail is not able to sync properly. Many a times I have restart my phone but after 10 mins it starts again. Is this issue with all Lumia models?

I have no problems with gmail sync on 3 Lumia's. Among them being a Lumia 735. The only thing that fails to work is searching through old e-mails on the server. But that is a Google problem.

I think your problem may be a software glitch. A hard reset would solve such strange issues usually. Yes, I know, a hard reset isn't what you want to hear, but it's how these issues are solved unfortunately.

I concur. It should "just work" and has for me on 4 different Lumias (521/925/1520/520) with 2 different Gmail accounts.

Sync errors are often not the account's fault. There is an underlying issue.

Check that date and time are accurate for your location.

Is there any 2 step authentication needed and it might be texting the code to an old number?
