Why is my Lock Screen is showing New Year's Eve Tomorrow: All Day?

Lock Screen is showing New Year's Eve Tomorrow: All Day

Yesterday my phone started displaying the following message on the lock screen:

New Year's Eve
Tomorrow: All Day

The lock screen was displaying the correct date (January 20th 2015). I checked the calendar and there is no event for the 21st of January. So, thought that maybe it was just a glitch and it would clear up by tomorrow. Well tomorrow is here now January 21st 2015 and the phone is still showing the message.

Any ideas as to what could be causing this?

Go to Settings -> lockscreen and pick any other app than calendar for detailed information. Now pick calendar again. This should fix it. If not, pick another app again, perform a soft reset, make sure your device is set to the current date and time, pick the calendar app for detailed information on your lockscreen again and you should be fine.
