Why is my battery life so poor on Windows 10?

Battery Life on Windows 10

Am losing Battery Life after installing Windows 10 TP. It doesn't even last 1hr.Why is this so? And the Store hasn't been opening since yesterday. It constantly says "The server has stumbled". Anyone facing similar problems??

I have the same problem. Win 10; surface pro 128. battery just eats itself up. I have it set on ultra power saver and it still lasts two hours or less.

When I close the case, it kills the screw, but the computer is still running in the background. under win 8.1 I could get 6 to 8 hour

Does Microsoft have a fix or is there a seting that i need to change?
