Nokia Lumia 920 Broken screen - no windows live (I think)

My sister broke her phone, we are getting her a new one and she needs her contacts. She is not sure she saved them with a Microsoft account.
Is there any way to get the contacts off the phone, even in a text file or list, anything?

Re: Nokia Lumia 920 Broken screen - no windows live (I think)

She said she did not sign up for any accounts for anything.

What options did she get when saving a phone number on the 920?

Re: Nokia Lumia 920 Broken screen - no windows live (I think)

She is not being very helpful in the case as she "dose not remember" even if it was backed up to her live account she probably would not know the password.

Thanks for asking lol. Ehm checking the account online seems like a smart idea. You can try to reset the password (forgot your password option)

Sounds right to me... If they are not in the cloud they are nowhere... There is an email address associated with the Microsoft Account. Her contacts must be there.

people.live.com then log in or reset password and you will see all your contacts online

Not sure if you want or can do it but if she gets a new 920 (or you have a 920) than place the LCD assy from the new phone on the old phone.

They are on cloud to prevent things like this. And moving from one wp to another is very easy by this way.

First you don't lose your contacts, provided you remember your email
Second if you microsim is damaged or lost you don't lose your contacts.

In my point of view its the best change in the way smartphones work. (this also happens to android and ios)
