Develop for WP 8.1 or wait for 10?

Windows Central Question

I want to develop WP apps but I'm completely new to the whole WinDev world. Learning C# was no problem, and I'm a software developer for years so the development itself will be neither (or so I hope).

But: I'm unsure whether I should begin with WP 8.1 or skip it and start right away to develop for Win10. Or makes this question no sense at all for you experienced developers here?

Start with WP8. All the SDK/Tools/Tutorials are out there.

Run through the tutorials, get used to how the development cycle works and how to get your apps onto your phone. By the time Windows 10 swings around you'll have a leg up.

Don't wait, start learning now!
