No 4G logo on Nokia 735 phone

Hi everyone,

I've just recently upgraded from 3G to 4G / LTE on Family Mobile from Walmart. They use the T-Mobile network. My question is; why is my phone still showing the 3G logo? I've powered up and down a few times with no luck. The speeds I'm obtaining are much faster than the pervious setup using speedtest app. I was previously getting 1.5 mps up or down now I'm getting 8 to 12 mps so I know its changed but the logo on my phone has not. Any suggestions?

Sounds like it might be geographical, area might not have 4G coverage (which doesn't sound like a first world problem ;)) . Have you observed this everywhere you go or just a particular area?

Just in my area where I live. That could be an issue of course but, according to their coverage map (is it correct from T-Mobile) I should have 4G.

Re: No 4G logo on Nokia 735 phone

its because you didn't select the 4G in phone settings most likely.. Go to

settings

Mobile+sim

Sim settings

Then select 4G

Hope that helps :)

Hmmm... It could be a network problem. Have you gone into a city area to see if that helps? I am on giffgaff (in London England) and sometimes my phone can't get 4G then goes to 3G automatically

Not yet. That will be the next test. I live in the suburbs of Atlanta. I'm originally from Wolverhampton. Probably not working for me as I'm a Brummie.. Haha

Yes, Family Mobile for 4G / LTE (using T-Mobiles network) uses the 1900 MHz bands and the Nokia 735 supports this. This is the RM 1039 phone too not the 1038 international GSM version. Thanks
