Why doesn't my Whatsapp start up?

whatsapp not functioning properly

Hello guys , my WhatsApp is not functioning in a proper way . When I click the app icon it just says loading or resuming & then it crashes back to the start screen. Is it just me or is everyone facing this kinda issue. If anyone has a solution to this bug plz don't hesitate to comment . Any help will be appreciated.

If a reset doesn't work remove it and try to reinstall it.

Probably not but maybe you loose the latest messages. But you could loose them all if the history is corrupt and this caused the error you have now.
So probably the only way is to find it out by yourself. Sorry that we can not be more clear.

Do you get this problem if you tap the tile on the start screen and if you tap the icon in the app list.

You can manually create a backup.
