Anyone know why data sense gives such
inaccurate readings? The EE app states that I have 178mb remaining out of 500mb, but the Data Sense app states I have 54mb left. I haven't really used much mobile data this month. Does anyone have a possible response?

Make sure your monthly billing end date is accurate.

This is especially a problem if you use prepaid on a 30 day cycle... After many 31 day months your end date can be off by quite a bit.

Hi, thanks for the reply. I'm on a monthly contract. I believe its all set up correctly, just unsure why the "data" is significantly different. Could it be a bug?

For me it's correct on the 1 mb. I am on KPN, Dutch provider. Is it possible that if you use data to connect to the EE website or app that it's free (EE does not count it) but data sense does not "know" that.
Or if you on 4g but EE can only provide 3g that you get it for "free".

Yeah it is free to connect to EE, I use the app to check but not frequently. I've been wondering if it thinks WiFi has been cutting out and thinking its on mobile when it isn't? I'm mostly in a 3G area until when I get close to work then it hits 4G.

EE's figure does not update instantly. It can take up to 2 days to show your usage on the EE app/site. If you use roaming to go outside the UK it can take even longer to show. Datasense is instant as it is in your phone, so the EE figure will lag behind it.

Something else to keep in mind; if you get any non-chargeable data use, such as to the EE web site, Datasense will still count the usage. Of course the EE app/web site will not. If you have a deal where you can stream films or music outside of your normal data cap this can be a significant thing.

New feature for data sense in Win10 should be the ability to add sites that don't use data (I'm sure I've seen plans where Facebook and Twitter are free) and apps as well. That would just step up its usefulness for some people.
