Can I upgrade to Windows 10 64 bit for free?

About Windows 10 upgrade

I have a laptop with windows 7 32 bit, I couldn't find any reference that stated we must have 64 bit older OS to be eligible for free upgrade to Win 10 64 bit. So I'm wondering can I upgrade it to Windows 10 64 bit for free later?

32-bit Windows can upgrade to 32-bit Windows ONLY.
64-bit Windows can upgrade to 64-bit Windows ONLY.

Windows 10 will be a free upgrade to 7, no bit restrictions. You will receive the proper version.

Changing between a 32-bit and 64-bit install means a clean install from scratch, not an upgrade.
