What to do if the phone stuck on screen which asking to connect to desktop after water damaged?

My htc windows phone dropped into water 1 year ago, I try to start it just now but it still shown a screen which asking to connect phone to desktop right after the logo screen of htc.. after i connect to desktop, it is not working still
what should i do now?

You dropped it into water one year ago... Are you just restarting it now for the first time since?

It may just be dead forever if you never dried it out properly.
