Skype video calling

On windows phone 8, there is a Skype video call option when I call using the regular phone app, but it won't let me choose it as an option. Why?

I think you and the person you're talking to on the phone both have to have Skype installed (and possibly idle) for it to work.

Yes, it's not quite as intuitive as Facetime just yet... But its getting there (I hope)

And if both of you have it make sure you "merge" there Skype contact with the one that has their phone number.
