Office for Windows Phone 8.1

Okay Office Mobile really does suck. No formatting options. No paragraph options. I'm sure you're all familiar with it. But what will happen to Office for Windows Phone 8.1 going forward? Not Windows 10, but the rest of us stuck on WP 8.1.

I can understand the frustration when Android not only has a better app, but there are alternative word processors out there that do not exist on WP.

How can u be stuck on WP 8.1 when they are updating every single Lumia out there? You can't even blame carriers since u always have TP.

We don't know what the extent of the updates will be. I could have a Lumia, upgraded to 10 in areas other than Office, and just end up running 10 with the same version of Office that I have now. I'm just curious if that is a possibility or not.

We don't know at this point what aspects of Windows 10 won't be included in updates for lower-specced hardware devices. The chances are that the new version of Office will be available for all. It's features that require more RAM or groovy hardware will be sidelined.

I don't see that the core experience of Windows Phone 8.1 will be enhanced.
