How do I delete a file from the SD card?

Cannot delete file from SD card

I have a Lumia 735. I used Windows Explorer to copy some files in the music directory of my SD card. I want to delete some files from this music directory on my SD card, but there is one file that I cannot delete. I am edit to delete all the other files, but I cannot delete that one file. The file is NOT read only. How can I get rid of it WITHOUT having to format my SD card. I cannot believe that such a simple thing as deleting a file can cause so much issues (I'm nearly thrown my phone again the wall in anger).

It could be that the file is being used by a process? Have you tried after restarting your phone
