Why are my pictures becoming black?

My pictures become black

I have issue with my Nokia Lumia 620. Some of my pictures have become black.
Even when I tried to open it on my pc, those pictures are still black. I tried to share pictures to other device, and I shared black picture. Those pictures have been taken from my phone quite long ago. My mobile is saving pictures normally. I've tried to soft reset my phone and it doesent help. Does anyone know how to solve my problem? Im trying either to get back my "black" pictures or prevent this will happen in the future. Thank you guys!!

I think that means that the picture is no longer on the phone, but the index is. Sounds like corrupted files. I don't know how this has happened, but I suggest you format the storage device concerned. I assume a factory reset for internal phone storage will do it. If it is an SD card try removing it from the phone and reading on a PC. If it fails then reformat the card.

As to getting them back, time to check your backups. They may have been backed up to Onedrive if your phone is set to do that. If you have no backups then you will have to treat this as a learning experience. Always keep backups.
