Can windows phone excel do alone w/out helping the PC windows excel?

Since, I dont have PC, then I usually use my windows phone by making plan in microsoft excel but sad to say, its limited. Even to center my text in the box, can't do it. and many more command that id like to, its nothin. Just tell me if that office in windows phone is designed only for viewing. Thank You.

The phone version has indeed only limited functions.

You'll have to wait for the office in Windows 10, it'll be far more powerful.

As has been mentioned it's a bit limited. Why not use the web based version?
