as long as its unlocked, it'll work on T-Mobile, AT&T and other GSM carriers in the USA.

the question becomes how well, primarily, what data bands will it be compatible with?
I haven't found definitive information yet though...
You may want to definitely check out other devices as well, including the obvious Lumia 520/635, but also other offerings such as the US-based BLU.
