It wont happen, because WP will never support webkit (probably)

I'm not sure about anything but webkit is an internet standard. What does it have to do with an application? :/ are applications built off of web standards? Excuse my ignorance. :-\

Webkit is merely an outdated rendering of sorts that's been replaced by Blink. WP will not support it as it has Trident as its proprietary standard. Whether that will change in the future to allow better browser variety I don't know. That's all up to Microsoft. All current browsers except opera mini hook into WPs trident engine.

Thank you for the explanation... But what does that have to do with a messaging application? Do these chat applications follow the web protocols or something like that?

Well I think (not sure if this is correct) but some of the newer kik features run with unstable code that MS doesn't allow, goes against guidelines or something w/e. But tbh Kik could make the best dang app in the market if they weren't so lazy.
