Having problem syncing my 1520 to my 128gb SP3

I was wondering if anyone is having the same issue that I am with trying to connect my 1520 to my Surface Pro 3. Whenever I hook up my phone with the USB cable to my SP3 I keep getting an error telling me that there is a problem and that I should reset my phone and it should resolve the problem but this does not work. I am running the developers preview on my phone and I am wondering if this is maybe causing the issue. I also can't transfer anything via Bluetooth. Any ideas?
