On my Nokia lumia 520, why can't I delete music or paste new music from desktop to SD card?

Nokia lumia 520 cannot delete music or paste new music from desktop to SD card

music is on sd card. says:
"could not be deleted. device has either stopped responding or been disconnected."
When copying music from desktop says:
""could not be copied, device has either stopped responding or been disconnected."
Also many of the albums don't show in any of my folders...did search of SD card...not there though in my phone

What happens if you get your SD card out of your phone and put it in your PC.
If you still can not add or delete files your SD card is probably corrupted and you have to format is.
If formatting does not solve your problem the SD card is broken and you have to buy a new one.
If you can add and delete files on your SD card if it is in your computer you have a problem with your phone and i would recommend to do a hard reset.
