Can I upgrade my 8X phone to 8.1, I'm on T-Mobile?

can I upgrade my 8X phone to 8.1, I'm on T-Mobile?

I've heard there is a update in the works to be able to upgrade the firmware, is this true? I love the phone and don't really want the 8m because of its' size. Is this upgrade available yet, if not when?

T-Mobile has decided not to push the 8.1 OS + firmware officially for its HTC 8X devices. That means you won't be getting it officially from T-Mobile. What you could do is get enrolled in the Preview For Developers program and get the 8.1.1 OS update from Microsoft directly. Do keep in mind that the HTC 8X does not have a way to go back to a stock ROM so you would be able to further update your phone but not go back to a previous OS version, atleast till someone figures out a way to flash a T-Mobile branded ROM.
