Windows Central Question

My lumia 620 is locked for exactly 438380 minutes(43 weeks) and I need some stuff from it. It is my old phone, with a broken screen(I haven't used it in 9 months) and I know my password. Anyway I can still get to the files via my PC without needing the password?

I have heard, but have not verified it personally...

If you DO know the pin code to unlock the screen...

Go to https://www.windowsphone.com/en-us/my and sign in with the Microsoft Account that phone is registered to. Select that phone and have it powered on.

Send a lock order. Then send an unlock and use the pin on the phone. It should unlock the phone and then file browser will see it when you plug in to USB.

After a couple of mentions of this (other threads), there is NO option to unlock, remotely, at least I saw none ...
though I could be missing something - I just tried it.

I just assume there is an unlock after the phone gets locked... Or does it just enable the input pin on the phone?
