Why won't my Nokia Lumia 820 charge?

My nokia lumia 820 wont charge

i used my nokia lumia before i went to sleep and i knew it was on low battery (4%) so i thought i would charge it in the morning, but in the next morning, it didnt charge, i know this isnt a charger problem as i have bought a new charger and nothing happened. iv tried all the hard and soft reboots even though they wont work because the phone is dead. please help. i have lots of important things on it and i need them soon.

Charge in a different outlet. If it doesn't work, then try another. And another. And yet another. If all else fails, Nokia Care.

How long are you leaving it on charge before deciding it isn't working? From nearly flat it can take quite a while before it has enough juice to even show that it is charging.
