How can I get MSN Health and Fitness to sync on my fathers Windows 8 app on his desktop?

Hi! Im trying to help my father with MSN Health and Fitness.

It says that its offline and wont sync to the Windows 8 app on his desktop.

He just recently installed it. It seems to work because he can see the number of steps. Which route he took and Everything.

Any help would be appreciated.

Data has to be turned on for the app to sync
there is also another option under the app settings - permissions - data usage (update only while on wifi)
