How do I prevent recent items from showing in Quick access explorer (Win10)?

Preventing recent items from showing in Quick access explorer (Win10)

I know it can be done since I done it on one PC, but I have been running around in circle trying to repeat the process on a second PC. I would appreciate any tips. Thanks in advance

right click task bar

properties

jump lists

set it to zero and uncheck the two checkboxes in the same tab

Finally found my answer. In File Explorer under the View tab select Options button at the end of the tool bar, under the Folder Option window select General tab and look for Privacy setting, we have a choise of showing Recently or Frequently used file in the Quick Access folder.
