Why do I get error code 80070002 when trying to update my HTC 8X to WP8.1?

Getting error code 80070002 when trying to update my HTC 8X to WP8.1

As the title states im getting an 80070002.

I have tried the following steps:

Softreset
Change region
Change time+date
Change wifi
Hardreset

Any help would be appreciated

Error code 80070002 is a network error.
Did you uncheck "set date and time automatically" ?

Were you on wifi ?

I did a search and found out that Most HTC 8x owners have this problem and there is not a fix yet (even in microsoft forums).

Yes, i have unchecked "Set date and time automatically"

Im on a strong wifi network.

I have this error on a HTC 8x unlocked (from Verizon, I think) I bought on Aliexpress.

I tried (twice) a hard reset, and all kind of workarounds. Still no solutions.
Stuck on WP8 forever...

i just bought my phone on ebay , it 's unlocked rom. I test all solutions as you, hard reset, soft reset, change time settinggs etc. But problem is always here and phone stuck on Windows 8.0.10211.204 with error 80070002.

i've noticed that i have some features ( data sens? fot example) that is feature of grd2 update.

i've also chat with htc team about this issue, and answer was " this Is Microsoft problem" ah ah ah...

have you found solution about this since you have post here? I think we have same source problem and it Will be interesting we can troubleshoot together.

I have over a year with my HTC 8x, bought it on Amazon by Telstra. Finally 8.1s update arrived and I've tried everything I've read so far. It's not a WiFi problem nor storage. Currently I'm living in Venezuela but region/country has always been USA. Since the hard reset I'm unable to download kboard in Spanish. It has been frustrating. Recently downloaded Central to find some answers. Sorry if my English sounds funny, it's not my first language.

I bet all of us with the same issue have the same ROM.

I am switching to a Lumia in two weeks. As 8X will no longer be my first phone then, I will try to test again...but I am pesimistic....
