How do I change the cover photos in OneDrive?

OneDrive problem

I have deleted all the unwanted photo's from the onedrive that I don't want however on my Windows Phone when I go to Photos-->Albums-->Online-->Onedrive, the Camera Roll, Recent Photos and Saved Pictures all have the same pictures and I can't change the cover nor can I refresh or resync my phone even though it does it automatically.

To simplify I can't change the cover photo for these specific albums, they are still showing the photos that I have deleted from the onedrive and they have been that way for the past 2 months and no matter what I do I can't get them to change their cover photos.

On your PC, go to the folder(s) in question, right click on a new photo, (one that you want for the cover pic), and click "add as cover".
