A question for the real tech smart here.

My (old) w7 desktop says my Ram speed is 533,3mhz with ddr3. My maximum bandwidth is 667,7 mhz the RAM itself is 1333,3 mhz. Has anybody the answer why 533,3mhz is displayed?

The motherboard probably only supports up to 533,3mhz so it limits the bandwith, you haven't been updating windows and the drivers or your computer is just reporting the wrong information.

It's because your CPU FSB To DRAM clock frequency is lower. Your RAM is mostly operating at 1066MHz instead of the rated 1333MHz. This is mostly set by the default CPU multiplier in BIOS which can be overridden by overclocking

LOL this brought back some old memories of learning how to overclock my 2 x 256 MB 133 MHz SD RAM w/ a Northwood P4 on an old VIA Socket 478 chipset and an Nvidia GeForce 6200 AGP to just run Vista smoothly w/ AERO glass...those were the days!
