WPCentral Question
My wife and I both have Lumia 900's (yes, 900) running Windows Phone 7.8. We were burned pretty bad when we bought these phones (and a two-year contract), only to have Microsoft announce Windows Phone 8 several months later. Of course our phones wouldn't be update-able so we were stuck.
I've now developed this fear of buying new phones and contracts which prevented me from ever upgrading our phones. The problem is that our 900's are now on their last legs (they're slow, no updates, no apps, lots of scratches, etc.)
I really like the Lumia 1520 for myself and the Lumia 830 for my wife (our best carrier option is AT&T in the US BTW). I know both are upgrade-able to Windows 10 when that comes out.
My question is, bite the bullet and get new phones now, or wait and see what MS can deliver? I want a top-of-the-line phone for myself (i.e. 1520) while my wife is fine with a mid-range phone (i.e. 830).
