How do I change a song title on my Lumia 635 from showing as "Song.mp3" to "Song"?

How do I change a song title on my Lumia 635 from showing as "Song.mp3" to "Song"?

I've doing a lot of tests and I currently give up and just want a straight answer. On my phone it's "Song.mp3" while on iTunes or on my folders it would just say "Song". There are a few songs that do say "Song" but my OCD is kicking in and I need that ".mp3" out!

Remove the ".mp3" from the song's title...

Maybe it has "Song.mp3" stored as a title with a different ID3 version than what iTunes is showing. You can use an ID3 editor (if you're on Windows, MP3Tag is a free one, Google it because I'm not allowed to post links due to my post count) to check what titles are stored in the file and edit them (you should copy the mp3 file to your PC first, I think you can't edit directly on the phone).
