do we really need a windows store on a desktop PC version ? because , from the era of the first windows version , many developers already create lot of software and games that is required for the purposes of Windows OS,( exs: adobe series, anti virus, pro evolution game series and many more )

Having a Windows Store on Desktop is useful especially when purchasing a "Cross-device" app - one that once purchased for Windows phone will also be available for Windows PCs and vice versa. The unified and centralized approach makes it easier to manage such accounts that involved in the download and/or purchase of apps. This will not be the case when every app was available for download outside the store. Besides, apps within the store are (supposed to be) quality controlled and checked for malware and viruses... which will also be unlikely if they weren't contained and centralized in a Store-type platform.

We must be entering a new era for Windows at the moment; hence developers and users alike will soon be adjusting to the platforms made available to them once the benefits of the incumbent platform has been demonstrated and appreciated.
