Band or Fitbit... is that really all there is?

So, after partially heated discussion in another topic I decided to give the fitness bands a shot. Until now I was very skeptical but I think it would be only fair to seriously try one (I already "played" with one in the past but just for a little while) and see if there's more to them than meets the eye.

I started googling and window shopping, everything was awesome (I even found few very nice, design-wise) but then I discovered that basically none of them are supported on Windows Phone. Do I really get to choose only between Microsoft Band and Fitbit Flex/Charge?

I'd really appreciate any kind of help on this matter. For example, is it possible to buy some officially not supported band that will still work on my Windows Phone? And if so, which one? To make it easier for you, I'm looking just for fitness band that can be used for running/working out and has smart alarm. Or is at least able to wake me up with vibrations. I DON'T need social/call/text notifications and other smartwatch-like features.

I don't know about other bands' compatibility work arounds, but it sounds like the ideal one for you is the Fitbit Flex. It does exactly what you specify, no more no less.

Yep, as of now everything speaks in favor of Fitbit. But since I will be wearing whatever device I'll choose to buy constantly (at least for a while), I want it to look good as well, you know. Not that Fitbit Flex is bad looking, just trying to discover my options ;)

There is a Mi thing too. And one other.

MiBand is working on Windows Phone? I read somewhere that there's third-party app in production but I did not know it's already out there...
