Why do I keep getting the error message 80860006 when trying to update apps?

Keep getting error message 80860006 when trying to update apps.

Can't get passed connecting to Microsoft account with user name and password.

All signs point to a sync error in your Microsoft Account.

Make sure date and time are correct for where you are.

Remove any restrictions in Data Sense.

Go to Settings > email + accounts > hold down on the Account Name > tap sync from the popup

If it does not sync > Soft Reset and try all the above again

Soft Reset by holding the Volume Down + Power buttons until the phone vibrates and reboots (about 10 seconds). You will not lose data - this is not a full reset.

If it still fails, try logging onto your Microsoft Account on a PC Browser and checking that there are no issues.
