How to I skip "Connect to Verizon Network" on my KIN 2?

I know the KIN phone is outdated, but I just got it and as I tried to set it up, told me to connect to Verizon Network, I am in Canada, and Verizon no longer supports this phone. How do I skip "Connect to Verizon Network" in the setup?

Does it have a SIM card?

If it's CDMA only, it cannot be unlocked and won't work.
