New lumia 930 does not have smart sequence mode.

Do I need to change any settings to make the sequence mode appear or is there a problem with the handset..?

I guess you talk about the camera app you use.
If you use Lumia Camera (version 5) then you indeed do not find a smart sequence mode.

If you want to use smart sequence you have to down load Lumia Camera Classis. Lumia Camera Classic | Windows Phone Apps+Games Store (United States)
