Lighted alert notification

Is there a way or an app that will give my Nokia Lumia icon a light that lets me know I have a notification?

Not the answer you're looking for, but as an alternative & if you are willing to spend $60 you can get the DT-903. Me and my gf each have one for our 930's and use the light up functions for a variety of notifications.

Not at all what I am inquiring on but thanks! I am looking for a way for my phone to notify me of notifications via a light on my phone.

It's not a feature that's (yet) supported in Windows Phone.
​One of the few things about iPhones I like and miss on WP.
​It might come in future versions.
