How is the battery life for connected standby devices, like the surface pro 3, running windows 10?

I use my SP3 for taking notes for at least 5 hours on battery. I would like to run windows 10 on it but I know in the previous builds the battery life has been terrible. I was wondering if they have fixed some of the battery issues in build 10049?
