Is it still worth getting a Lumia 1520?

I'm in the market for a new phone. To be more exact I'm in the market for a Lumia Phablet. I know that Microsoft has said that some new devices are coming out so my question is, should I wait and see or is the 1520 my best choice?

Like any two year old device, if you can get it cheap enough, it's worth it. Otherwise save your money for a newer model.

Okay are there any good substitutes right now?

no but 1520 is canceled i imagine there's a new one coming but even it was announced today there no telling when you can get one

Yeah I'm in New Zealand too so other than importing it normally takes even longer for us to get new phones
