If I buy a Lumia being sold in the UK is it possible to get it working on a Verizon or At&t account here in the U.S? And if so how do I get that to happen?

According to the specifications that I've read (on carphonewarehouse.com) the L735 - and others - are listed as able to work in the USA. However, I suspect that this GSM rather than CDMA.

Verizon will not activate a phone onto their network that does not have their branding on it. Period. Game over.
