Cannot transfer HERE maps from phone to SD card with Storage Sense

[Windows Central Question]

I have the brand new Lumia 640 with WP8.1. I understand that Storage Sense is the successor to Lumia storage check beta, the latter which was supposed to allow one to download HERE maps fto SD card instead of to phone. However, although Storage Sense is intuitive and looks like it allows downloading maps to SD card, the maps I download keep downloading to phone and not to the SD card. I tried to install storage check beta, but it seems to be disabled for my device and I can't download/install it. In Settings I already indicated all new maps and pictures do download to SD card.

This all doesn't make sense. How can I get my offline HERE maps to SD card??? Any help is greatly appreciated ;-)

At the moment there is no way to get maps on a SD card.
The only way was with the Storage Sense Beta but this app is pulled from the store.
