Sim not detected after Windows 10 update

My Lumia 625 shows "Mobile Turned Off" and is unable to read sim card or connect to wifi post Windows Phone 10 TP installation. I have tried re inserting the sim and re connecting to wifi many times over but to no avail. Any one has any idea?

^ Is that list not specific to the 1st TP? That was written in February and AFAIK doesn't reflect any of the issues reported for the 2nd TP.
