Why won`t my Nokia Lumia 520 power up or charge?

I got my 520 about a 3 months ago with no contract, and for about a month, it was OK.Then, I did have the bottom half of it in water about 2 weeks in to having it. I put it in rice, didn't touch it for 2 days, when I turned it on, it worked! But then, I let it die, and when I went to charge it, nothing happened, no vibration, no screen turning on, nothing! So, I decided it was a battery issue, so I replaced the battery. When I put the new battery in, it worked. It has been fine for a while, but yet again, I let it die, and now it wont charge or turn on.

Then, I did have the bottom half of it in water about 2 weeks in to having it.

Most likely, there was permanent damage from the water that just took time to appear.

My suspicion is that it's dead.
