How to uninstall apps when screen is unusable?

My screen is cracked, is completely unusable and unresponsive.
But my new phone won't allow me to install some apps until I uninstall it from the old phone!
I've tried a hard reset, but without the screen it seems impossible.
Help?

Turn off your old phone.
Turn on your new phone.
Install windows phone as normal on your new phone (or if you have installed windows phone on the new one reset it)
Log on to your outlook account.
Apply the backup you made of your old phone (if you did this before screen cracked).

When you log onto your outlook account your registering a new phone for that account.
